Black Stitch explores social issues through a range of platforms. We are always keen to perform, however we also run workshops and events to initiate discussions, and involve community in the development of important stories.
Our philosophy is that we create and produce stories that we believe are important and start  valid and robust conversations in community. And we can do this in many ways: through workshops, events or performances.

Workshops

Creative, hands-on sessions designed to empower, connect and inspire.

Our workshops invite people to explore real-life issues through storytelling. Whether we’re working with young people, communities, or organisations, our workshops are always flexible, responsive, and people-centred.
 

We can run workshops that:

  • Build confidence, teamwork, and communication

  • Support mental health and self-expression

  • Explore identity, culture, employment or social justice

  • Co-create performances or artworks with participants

Events

Engaging public events that get people talking—and keep them thinking

Black Stitch creates events that bring people together to share, reflect and take action. Our events can be as bold or as intimate as you need—from pop-up activations to creative forums and interactive installations.

Productions

Performance is our heartbeat. We create and tour original works that reflect lived experiences and tackle real-world issues with care, creativity, and impact. Our performances are designed to move people—and move conversations forward.
