The Black Stitch Team
A creative lab of writers and actors working collaboratively to create unique, thought-provoking performances.
Black Stitch Players is dedicated to bringing compelling and somewhat difficult stories to the stage.
The goal is to work with like-minded creatives to produce works that engage audiences on different levels.
Our team is passionate about presenting unique theatrical experiences that provoke, educate and inspire.
Through our innovative approach of directly linking creative experiences to our common reality, we aim to challenge the paradigm and re-affirm the traditional and relevant status of performance in community.

Creative Services
Black Stitch explores social issues through a range of platforms. We are always keen to perform, however we also run workshops and events to initiate discussions, and involve community in the development of important stories.
Our philosophy is that we create and produce stories that we believe are important and start valid and robust conversations in community. And we can do this in many ways: through workshops, events or performances
Productions
Our productions are raw, relevant, and rooted in lived experience, made to move, challenge, and inspire.
Workshops
Our workshops bring people together to share stories, build skills, and make meaning; no experience needed, just curiosity.
Events
Our events aim to get your community talking about what's important and keep
the conversation going.
