About The Event
The Period Project is a creative work that centres the lived experiences of menstruation and reproductive health.
By collecting and amplifying stories, particularly from cisgender women, about periods, menopause, hormones, pain, fertility, and survival, we aim to give voice to what is often silenced or reduced to symptoms. These narratives, whether raw, humorous, sacred, or mundane, deserve space and recognition. We also acknowledge that reproductive health is shaped by culture, through language, religion, race, migration, and more and we honour the diverse ways people experience and care for their bodies across these frameworks.
